View Full Version : Color and Comp Landscape

Heyo!

I've had this image for a few weeks, unfinished from the Enviro Concepts course, and would be very glad for any advice and help please, especially round the areas of

1. Composition (I feel the middle ground is too empty, and in fact I don't feel I can identify the entire image's focal point in particular!)

2. Color (tentative) - needs local color.

3. Lighting.

Any and all comments/advice and crits welcome, many thanks!

Hey, I think this is a really cool picture so far and I have one suggestion about the color. I would make it less orange in the clouds and maybe more yellow. I think the orange is unnecessary in the color scheme and would look okay if you replaced it with yellow.

And for the focal point, the first thing I look at is the middle section of buildings. A focal point is supposed to be the area of highest contrast so I would play around with making that area have higher contrast.
