Hi,

so there is now "graph curves" in the workbench, great! but is there any way to use handles a la Maya graph editor or Max native custom handles for that matter? Is there perhaps any script that would make this happen?

Cheers,

Hey

change these to 1 in bipini (plugcfg)

AWB_ShowTangents=1

still doesenīt work on my pc tho..... ;( :(

fan vet vad dem håller på med

pff,

you are a genious! Worked real good! so much better than Tension, Continuity, Bais etc spinners. Now to the followup question would it be possible to have "broken" tangents? If you have a answer to that Pff, I dont' think I have no other choice than to nominate you for the Nobel Prize ;)

maybe broken tangents is a misleading term, if you have the handles it works the way you pointed out, which is great in itself, but the handle (and subsequently the animation curve) on one side effects the handle on the other side when tweaking either side. By having a "broken" the handle on one side don't affect the other side and as such you have even better control over the ease-in-out of keyframes. Does that make sense? broken & free tangents would be the Maya graph editor equal to what I am trying to say/do,

AAAAAhhhhhhhh i see....

Nope donīt think so
Please realize itīs still Quat curves not genuine Eyler XYZ curves so they behave vastly different from the FCurves you are used to.

But if i find a way will post it ;)

Itīs a different way, to animate with Quatīs.... and CS alltogether. Only way to get used to the tension bias cont. is to use trajectories and drag these sliders observe the influence it has on your motion.

I actually like CSīs ways to handle motion. Even tho i curse CS every day... there is real power hidden under the hood for the people digging deep ;). I think one has to quite simply accept CSīs underlying architecture.

Sorry I couldnīt be of more help to your specific issue.

Good luck

Thanks anyway Patrik,

I've been a long time user of Max/CS too and like some of the features, it's just the fine tuning controls a la Maya I miss in CS. plus and minus for both packages I guess, no problems with gimbal lock in CS(that can be a real hassle in Maya at times), less fine tune control, guess one just have to accept that.

Kare
