Can anyone tell how to cap the ends of a NURBS extrude? Or how to fill a hole in a NURBS model? Thanx :p

The book says, select the isoparms and hit Surface>Planar.

if the curve is on the same plane, you can use suface > plannar.
if the curve is not plannar ,you can use suface > square.

Thanks guys, :)
Unfotunately I've now got another question:rolleyes:
Is it possible to merge the newly created plannar surface with the original loft?

I don't think you can actually do that. You can create a Fillet Blend between the two parts to make a smooth transition. But Maya won't attach those two surfaces. You can also stitch the pieces together, but I wouldn't advise that unless you are making an animated character that deforms. Here is a quick Fillet blend. It renders okay also.
