Another try at some Mecha designs. This is like a futuristic concept of a key 'space base' equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. Always ready and prepared, all they have is two minutes... when duty calls.

Done in Photoshop on and off during my free time. Hope you like it~

stunning! quite well done... the machines are great, i like the colors you used, it fits well the concept and the mood of the environment and situation.

I love the mecha designs and the loose yet detailed painting style here. Each subject is very well rendered but I find that as an overall piece, it feels too busy. There is little separation between foreground and background and the mechas almost blend in with the pilots making it hard to read what's going on. Maybe some atmosphere (steam, fog) or lifting the blacks on the background could have helped?

Hi wiro,

Yes i do agree with what you said. In fact i tried out a version with more realism on depth perspective but i eventually chose this as an 'illustration'. My main aim was to do the designs on the mecha as well as the suits in front, so i chose this version with little depth in order to keep the details. Thank you very much for the pointers!
