Hey guys. New to the forums. Decided to join for a few reasons. 1) Cause there are some freaking sweet artists on here. 2) To kind of network once I get a better portfolio created 3) To improve 4) My teacher recommended I become a forum whore (see reason #1)

So yeah. I'm an animation major (3D) right now. First year. I'm learning Maya. I've been doodling on Photoshop for the past three or so years but I've been drawing since I could walk. I'm trying really hard to work on proportions especially when goofy perspective is involved. I'm taking Life Drawing this semester. It's really helping I think. I'll try to photograph some stuff. It's mostly like 5 minute poses but some turned out pretty good. It's time consuming to take photos and resize and color correct and such so I might wait a while.

In here I'm mostly going to be posting WIPs of things I want to finish. And just random sketches and such. Character ideas. I'd really like to get into concept work for characters and possibly environments in the future. Modeling is fun too. But I love to draw. Period. Haha. So yeah.

I'll post some stuff here soon. Feel free to comment, critique, confess, command, collab, etc. I can learn a lot from you guys and I'm planning on doing so. :)

So here's the first ones. These are about 3 months old I think. I don't remember. It was my new years resolution to finish every piece of art I start. So far I haven't kept up with that resolution. So to the sketchbook for now. Comments and critiques would be wonderful. Thanks.

Yikes! It's been since Feb. since I've been on here. Ugh! And I have a ton of stuff to post. I'm sorry if it's overwhelming. I'll try not to stretch the page that much.

Some newer things. Robot was done for class. I like whales. Some goddess witch thingie. I like her. I need to finish her.

This is a sketch I did for this cliche princess idea I want to do. I want to paint the classic Disney cliche princess singing to woodland animals but I want to exaggerate it a lot. Cause it'd be funny. So here's the first part of the sketch. It's hopefully going to be a full body shot but I wanted to focus on the face. I think I might cross her eyes or something really dorky to show she has no brain. :P

And I know her hand is all messed up. I need to go find refrences.
