I'm making a video for a local band (The Punk Group (http://www.thepunkgroup.com)). Here's a render of the set. I just redid the lights and thought it came out pretty neat looking. I figured I better post it since it's been so long since I've posted anything at CGTalk. Anyway, hope you enjoy the image.

More renders (in various states of completion) can be seen here (http://www.sad-world.com/germany/).

Think it looks cool !

are you going to comp them on using green screen ? If so, are all the reflections not a problem?

Adios

Looking nice! I like the colors.

Is this going to be 3D only or is there going to be some videofootage too?

Let us see more of this

Thanks for the comments:

InfaRed: The band member will be animated as two heads that come out of the floor, so no comping will be needed. Look here (http://www.sad-world.com/germany/sticks.htm) to see what I mean.

Pufferfish: Yes, there'll be live footage of the band on the big screen in the render. The little screens may also have some live footage running at least part of the time.

I'll show more on this project when I get further along. For now you can see some renders of the different character and sets (and a rough MP3 of the song itself) here: http://www.sad-world.com/germany/. Just ignore all the lighting in the renders. The lighting will be more like the render you see at the start of this thread

sad- yeah, I knew there'd be requests to 'dirty it up'. I like the surreal cleaness of it though. I think it fits the project. Besides, I'm already spending way too much time on this project as it is. Maybe I'll scuff it up a little though. I'll see how much time I have to devote to that once I've got the animations worked out.

i think your reflections could be toned down some.

There'll be video footage playing on the screens so I'll definately have to make them less reflective.
