View Full Version : Nurbs and Splines?
Gamble 02-18-2009, 03:28 PM Is there any big difference between NURBS modeling and spline modeling? I don't quite get it, since both of these techniques uses splines to shape the element.. As far as I know NURBS are very popular way to model in MAYA.. What kind of advantages it has compared to for example 3DS MAX splines..?

Same thing. Nurbs stands for non uniform rational b splines. Mayas toolset is a bit easier to work with for beginners. All the same stuff though.
