this may be a silly question ... but i've just learned of the ways you can alter the interface, moving toolbars, creating tabs, making new palettes, etc.
my question is this:
i have made the topmost menu (File, Edit, Objects, Tools, etc) a tab and undocked it.
HOW can i remove a tab once i've created one, without resetting the entire layout, and re-cuctomizing the entire thing? (the top menu thing was an experiment.... gone horribly awry unfortunately! :) )

also, are there any tips on effective ways to build the interface? basically, i like all of my tools and such to one side, and my viewport(s) all on the other. i like the biggest viewport region possible!

thanks,

Gendou

Hi,
simply undock the toolbar and close it. Then save the layout.
Cheers

i have already undocked it to a floating toolbar. now i want to get it back without having to reset the layout.

i basically have a layout made up now that i like for the time being.. its temporary, but it works.

i am however, having other problems with just USING c4d that are quickly turning me OFF to the program (new posting)... i dont want to be turned off from it.. it seems like a worthwhile app with a relatively user-friendly workflow.. once i figure out what that is :)

drag it back to where you want it and release, right click and change settings to your liking?
