Does anyone know if MudBox will have the ability to unwrap a base mesh in the next version. This is something that would be important to me. :)

no... there are so many cool uv tools out there...
there is no need to waste coding time for this feature...

It would save some time if there were at least basic UV editing in Mudbox.
