Some crits? Okay.

Overall it's an excellent piece, but here are a few small points which occur to me.

The hot air balloons which are nearer are all at a similar altitude, whereas the more distant ones are at very different altitudes. The placement of them seems like different sized ones are arranged on a 2d plane. If the smaller (further) ones are more distant, and if they are at a similar altitude they should all be lower than the larger (nearer) ones - or higher if the viewpoint is higher.

The single hair strands don't seem consistent to me, I'd have expected them to describe paths a little more similar to the main body of the hair. Also, single strands aren't as matte as that, try painting them as semi translucent and with more pronounced specular highlights.

The colour of the eyebrows seems a little to intense to me. Maybe try not so much yellow in there.

The top outlines of the clouds seems a little too soft and transparent to me.

The transition between the kid's hair and the ground under the fairground is quite sudden, is that intentional? Maybe try incorporating some strand of hair into it?

thanks alot for the comments guys, and aleph-zahir your comments have been a big help. And you pointed out some stuff that i didn't even notice, like the balloons, much appreciated man.

You're welcome.

Fresh pair of eyes and all that.

I often do the same thing with my own projects when I haven't looked at them for a while, and notice things I didn't see while I was working on them.
