The character is well done, he has a good and funny face, but blurried areas in the background and on the road are strange... It's like bad blur tool stroke in photoshop

wow wwee... I think that the character is really cool - sort of the peacekeeper in baghdag look. It's very nice and I really like his smile.

I love the detail (that glowstick) and his hands. VERY VERY NICE.

WIRES PLEASE :D

I think overall your work is great especialy the character but I feel like you need to work more on the gun (Not sure if it is a shot gun or a rifle). It need a little more detail on it :)

Like the character...the horizon line looks good, very Iraq-ish... but the rest of the back drop is a bit iffy....

Great work!
I really dig the style. That´s what it´s all about: cool characters with an edge!
All the photorealistic stills people are posting here are great, but this could be a great and entertaining story as well!

Is the background a photo?

I´m really looking forward to see some animation with this crazy cat.

Great work

About lizard, i thought the gun could be more detailed, don't you think? and i don't feel depth in torso.but Nice work! Are you brazilian? Fala minha lingua? Bom saber q meus conterraneos estão recebendo elogios num fórum de respeito internacional! ( I said that's good to know that guys from Brazil- where i live - are receiving good critics from people of this acclaimed forum)

What program did you use? I like the texture of the sand and the contast formed by the realizm of the background and the cartoon style of Max.

He looks like he just got done blowing something up...go him.

Keep up the great work, your style is really unique.

edit-

What program did you use? I like the texture of the sand and the contast formed by the realizm of the background and the cartoon style of Max.

A program doesnt come with a cartoon style, its however the user manipulates the program.

somehow i think it would be more fitting for the gun to be in the guy's left hand... hehehe, just a redneck stereotype i guess. =) But yessum, the road is ... blurred strangely... but that character design is hecka cooooool =D

Great work!!!

Elio Jr.

The character is very, very good. I enjoy him a lot!

The background's ground plane doesn't seem to agree with the soles of the character's feet, though. I would expect to see a lot more of the tops of the boots to match that extreme angle of the road under him.

It appears that the virtual groundplane in your rendering scene would only meet around his knees at the infinity line, instead of eye level as it's portrayed.

Maybe it's just me.

Still, a very good character.

Great character, texturing and overall image but one thing I notice is that the patch of sand/dirt to the right of the character looks too sharp and detailed relative to its distance in the perspective of the image.

nice work

;)
I like the clothes detail and the funny expression of the face, but the 'logos', 'links', 'signatures' and that lot of text around the image are a little bit annoying. Remove it! put it discreetly at the bottom of the image. What about?

So many replies!! Thans a lot!!

Vinicius... I agree about the letterings interferences!! Idid not have much time for doin a good text layout, but i will tyr it! Any suggestion?

Goro... I ve start to set him up.. Sonnly I intend to animate him! Thanks!

webfox ...I see... I think thats really you, or a Max trouble, cause the character and road texturizing and modeling are from 3d soft render aspect... I will post a shot screen of max view port the scene . Ok?! Anyway.. thanks for your c!!

Elio Jr!! My great pall!! Thanks for your comments!! I really spend too much time in texturizing.. I have Texturize and light the scene whit just a few hours!! The contest dead line was closing!!

Reptor!! Desistir?? Na boa.. sem hipocrisia.. Esse contest deve ir pra vc...:hmm: Mas o q importa é competir... É nada.. Snif..Ganhar é muito melhor!!!:hmm: Mas é isso aí.. Boa sorte pra vc!!

cgwolf ... Hum... Very well noticed! Thanx!

Hehe. He's soo cool! Love his expression. Looks like he's looking for something to kill. The only bad thing I can point out, is his vest. It could use a bit of bump mapping. But great style !
