Hi everyone,

I have been using Wings for a few weeks now. Fantastic program by the way! :) I love it.
Anyway, I can't seem to work out how to hide sections of my model, basically to make working on areas easier. Is it possible?

Thanks

It's not possible at the moment. You can of course hide objects, so if you loopcut a piece of geometry that you want to work on it will become a seperate object. Hide everything else and then you can weld it back when you're finished. - Baz

Thanks BazC. I'll give that a go. Although it would be nice to see some sort of hide selection in Wings3D. Hey, but what a great program it is regardless!

I agree, hide selection would be great. I'm not sure it will happen though, I have a feeling that the maths that wings is based on makes it difficult if not impossible. Not sure though but I've never read that Bjorn intends to implement this and it has been requested many times :o(

Oh well, like you said, there are ways around it. The more I use wings the more I realise its not that important really, I must admit, I'd much rather see morphs and rigging in wings3D :)

Morphs and rigging are coming but not until after version 1.0 so they're a looong way off :o)

BazC, yes, I heard Bjorn had morphs/states and rigging at the top of his list (amoungst other things). I can't wait for these. And hide selection of course. You never know... :)
