EDIT* - solution found!
Hi guys,
I have a bit of armour that needs to deform in some way. It's situated just at the waist, covering the characters crotch. When either of his legs move forwards, they interpenetrate into the armour, so I could do with a solution to avoid this.
I could perhaps bind the armour (I'm treating it as a sort of thick leather material) to a series of joints and manually animate them for walk cycles etc, but I was hoping to find a nicer solution - dynamics possibly?
In the 3 pictures below you can view the problem.
Picture 1: Default position of character
Picture 2: Leg has rotated forward and is now interpenetrating the armour that covers the characters crotch
Picture 3: The armour has been manually rotated so it is no longer penetrating the characters leg. However, it looks very rigid.
Any input appreciated
Thanks!
