quick sketch last night, am looking at different poses and stances and she needs to be prettier and stronger - but i think i want her to be speedy and really flexible so maybe I need to thin her out a bit... anyway more drawing tonight...

did some more sketches and thought of a story - i wanted her to be dragon like so here goes -----

STRENGTHS
fire, flight, speed, agility

WEAKNESSES
hmmm was thinking maybe she is burnt so her body is masked in some way but not sure about this - and plus dragons don't get burnt do they ??

BACKGROUND
she is found in the wild somewhere, taken in and has grown up as part of a small community. She is educated, strong, cultural and stubborn. She leaves to find out who she is and where she comes from, comes back and finds her home destroyed, locals think it is her who has brought this upon them so she leaves to avenge the killings and stop those who destroyed her home. The game would be like an action adventure game, and this small starter would lead her to discovering a greater plot to take controll of all the worlds and spread evil etc etc.

Anyway, this is my first ever challenge so if it is totally crap I would like to know, I also feel a little like this is very cliched the whole revenge thing but I like the character, so will keep plodding away until the deadline.

At the moment my sketches seem sortof fay like so im thinking maybe wings and torso region could be more dragon like.

I took some photos of little one for reference, they where quite helpful. I also started doing some rendering stuff, just basic light and shadow for now...

I tried to make her more earthy, thinking about weapons I wanted them to be hand made, not futuristic. I see this game being set in ancient magical times rather than a futuristic one.

I wasn't that chumped on the pose to begin with but now I like it. I see her practising her skill, honing a technique, playing tricks with her magic to practise and perfect the skill.

I also started on the background last night. Looking at it now I think i might add some scary things in the background, monsters, beasties and the like, anyway, only if I have time.

...also... I think I will have her feet bound to half way up her shin with bark and vines like shoes to protect her feet, that's why I haven't rendered them yet...

I was also thinking, instead of giving her a sheild to protect herself, she could use her wings, wrap them around her body like a shell to protect herself. I want her to be light and fast, not carying heavy or bulky equipment, her strength is in her physical and magical skills not in fancy equipment. Below are some detailed bits of the picture
