Imagine a sphere, cut in half, and half way down that half a loop edge that you want to cap...HOW?

The only way I can think of is to create a seperate piece of geomenty and ".Put On", if that would work, or "Collapse" the edges? Collapse edges does what I want on the outside of a piece of geomenty, but inside I get bad results. (usually it ,for some reason tries to connect to the outside geometry)

EDGE | EXTRUDE > NORMAL gives a fairly good result after FLATTENED, but in the center I'm stuck with a dozen vertices, and deleting them yeilds bad results. I tried to CLEANUP the model, but that didn't work either.

Any other ideas?

Maybe a WISHLIST request: EDGE | CAP - Select a EDGE | LOOP and create a n-gon plate inbetween or based off of the selection?

What do you think?

I didn't think I was away from the forums that long, but the answer was already previously posted, which worked for me.
