Hi, I´m doing a body and I need some help with arms/legs, I want to make both with no too much detail, but I want to get a good final arm/leg.
these are my steps: (example leg)
1) build a cilinder
2) use reference pictures and epoly to give the shape of a leg on all viewports.
3) ADD DETAIL... but, I want only to add the most important details, like major muscles and knee.

with this method I get a nice result, but if somebody can show me what are the best details to add. (not all, only the most important) I think can achieve a better limb.

Just put some red circles on the attached image.

thanks (and sorry for my english)

I think you might be able to get more definition by starting with a box or plane and creating the shapes you need, then meshsmooth them? Might be easier to get some muscle and bone definition that way.

nrat, yeah, that book rules.

sledge, my big problem is not the basic shape, sometimes I draw some nurbs to get a nice reference, but the problem is adding detail, must be some standard low poly cage to get the detail in a easy way.

I think you have to maintain the main lines, but i think that this image is too complex to decide what is important...
Im not specialist in it...
