Okay, I am currently weighing up the use of XSI vs Maya for a upcomming project (no I dont want to start a fight over which is better).

I am leaning towards XSI at the moment however the lack of Rigid Body Dynamics is a big problem for me as they would be a great help. How do you guys get around this problem? is there a plugin that fills the gap?

lol, i asked the exact same question at a XSI users group, the official word is quite unofficial, supposedly they are working into incorporating a physics simulator, hopefully it'll be out before the end of this year, nothing is official tho, and no release time or details were given, just a slight glimmer of hope. As for the question, no, there isnt and i hate that too.

anyone mind explaining a bit more what ridgit body dynamics is? like give an example.

i'm thinking its like stretching and skin and stuff to simulate muscles, but ... i really don't have a clue!

It's more like a bowling ball going down the alley and striking the pins.. think objects hitting one another and reacting
