Well, animating history in maya is possible depending on what you want to achieve... leaving history on as you model will allow you to preview models and activate and deactivate things as you need them....Nurbs and curves, ie. a loft, are one of the easiest ways of trying to achive this, however without knowing more its hard to go into more detail. There are problems with this however, leaving history on as you model can severly impact the performance of the machine. If your goal is one of a presentation or demo reel my suggestion would be to model in stages leaving them in seperate files and using some kind of screen capture program and editing them together...This might be the easiest way. If your goal is more cinematic in nature using various nodes in the hypershade and hypergraph will allow you to create a more complex higher end result...However if you are new to maya this method probably will be to diffiult to achieve... Hope that answers your question.

Thank you very much 2scale. The goal of my question is to create my demo reel of this year. I thought in your first suggestion of save the process in some files and editing as well the idea of tricking with the otherwise extrusion animation but i thought in the possibility of animating the history by the hypergraph or other script method. thnx u again
