Title: Canyon View
Name: Kan Muftic
Country: United Kingdom
Software: Photoshop

This is a promotional piece done for NCsoft Europe.
I wanted to show a very beautiful scene with just few strokes but showing a lot of detail in the focal point.
I simply love painting mechs and this one was no exception.
It took me about four hours to get it done.
I used only the chalk brush in Photoshop.
Hope you guys like it,
Khan

Very very cool. Mech enjoying the vista. Clearly accomplished what you set out to achieve in a beautiful minimalistic way.

I'm loving it. I much prefer this sort of environmental rendering to the more detailed kind. Great work!

seriously, I'd hang it on the wall. I like the color tones so much, makes picture look so calm ang gives that great sense of distance... very nice!

ianruff: Thanks a lot, glad you like it!

Junerahe: Me too! Yes, there is certain hypnotic quality in highly detailed paintings but I prefer to have free space to fill it in my imagination. Thank you very much!

Hyaloclastics: Thank you kindly!

kiboSVK: Thank you, the mood was my main goal. Glad I got it right!

Gintonio: Hey there.. That is just so nice of to say.. You have no idea how motivating it is for me, thank you very, very much.

phoenix: Thanks a lot! Yeah, those blues break the purple tones in an unexpected (and unintended) way:)

JosefK: Hey there! Thank you so much! As for the textures; I only used the standard chalk brush in Photoshop but, when applied in different size, it leaves those beautiful marks on the canvas.

naresh: Thanks a lot, I started with that in mind and then, the mech and the character shaped out of random brush strokes.

bearfoot: Hey Neil, how are you, mate? Thanks a lot, really glad you like it!

FireEyes: Hey, that's great, I see the similarities now, hehe.. Thank you kindly, my friend.

Great Image! Wonderful distance! And the mech is a great counterpoint to the surroundings. Cool!
I just saw You´re in the masterclasses too and had to check out Your works! Really great and obviously inspired by a wide range of things and athmospheres! Greetings from the Swiss Alps! Ron
