Title: Dragon Hunter
Name: Augusto Schillaci

I had this idea for a while, where the hunter is surprising a dragon at a top of the mountain.
I want it to make the lighting very dramatic.

Really good overall, but I think the hunter's assault lacks direction. He could be pointed more towards the dragon. I love the background work and the dragon!

i really like it man.
especially the composition
the pose of the hunter
the sun and the dragon
superb!
but one thing i felt is the enviornment itself is asking for more detailed representation of where this is.. how it feels.. what do one find there..
thought to tell u if u could use it to your advantage!

I'm not sure whether to be amused or worried for the dragon. The idea that this little human will jump far enough and be enough of a threat to the dragon feels funny (I'm obviously biased here; I love dragons). I think the webbing lines/texture of the wings may be too strong. Maybe if they overlapped or infused into the wing's skin, so that they don't stand out, but they'll distort the coloration to give that feel of a webbing texture on the wings. Also, I'm not sure I like the construction of the ribbing for the dragon's wings. It's not that they're rendered badly or anything, but their construction doesn't feel as convinving compared to the rest of the body. Although this could be seen as nick-picking since I do a lot of animal/creatures studies and have seen lots of dragon art.
Beyond that, I love the feel and atmosphere of this peice. the design layout, the way the dragon wraps around the rocky craig, the movement expressed with the hunter's jump, the colors and lighting (I love how the sun is behind them, but they should have stronger sillouttes as a result, but I'll let it slide since I like what I can see for the most part on the figures). Overall, I do like the mood, rendering, and color of this piece. the clouds that follow the character's jump are nicely done and add more convincing movement to the work. It helps makes it feel as though you captured a moment of action in a single snap shot. Great job overall. Keep up the good work. ;)
