hi hi,
how to make a sky in realistic, not just a backdrop or an image map? I tried skytracer, but it takes long time if for animation...
and
some more,,,how can we animate the cloud as well?? " "

Download the scenes found at this website:

Open them, turn on VIPER, and do a test render. Then go to the Backdrop tab (CTRL-F5) and open up the Textured Environment. Play with each layer and watch what happens in the VIPER display.

There isn't a tutorial associated with this, but if you spend some time reverse-engineering the scene, you should be able to see how the effect was created.

Once you understand how easily these skies were made, you can replicate them, add to them, and animate them.

My SkyGen (From Eki's PlugPak (http://www.kolumbus.fi/erkki.halkka/plugpak/index.html)) uses a similar method for creating skies. There's a multitude of presets available, as well as slider control for sky properties. You can open the textured environment and adjust the sky to your heart's content, if you feel adventurous. Render times are quite fast, typically just a few seconds / frame.

PlugPak is a collection of LScripts, and costs $50, but the good news is that you can use it for free, if you don't mind some nagging requesters - i.e. with SkyGen, you will only see the nags when applying SkyGen to your scene the first time - after that the result is a regular LW scene. As a bonus, there's almost 20 other LScripts in the collection ;-)
