Hi guys,

I tracked a scene using Boujou 2.1 and I export it to 3DsMAX 4.2, but when I open the script I cant see the scene in backgound, only the point trackers.
I´ve done a test exorting to Maya and the results are the same....:thumbsdow

How can I resolve this?

Thanx

I don't think BouJou sets up a background image for you, you have to do that yourself (views/viewport background and Rendering/Environment)

Hi Anders Egleus,

I dont know, maybe I am wrong, but in a released 1.3 I had a background image....

Well, that's just my experience. I could be wrong too, although I am using r1.3.

Anyway, did you sort it out or do you still need help?

When using Boujou the script you bring into Max will not have the background image included; Boujou only exports the tracked camera data. In my experience, I export the data into Max, and then use the background I tracked in Boujou as an Environment Map. I hope this helps. :)

cheers

Hi guys,

Hey Anders Egleus, hehehe, you were right man,

Intrinsia, thanx very much.......

Maybe you could help me in another problem. I tracked a TGA sequence and I exported to MAX. In this sequence there is a lot of walking persons, so the tracker points changed along time...

I cant seem this tracked sequence in my viewport, only the first TGA. What can I do to see my tracked sequence inside 3DsMAX? I would like to see may tracker points changed too.....

Is there a way to import an Environment Map sequence, changed along the time, following the tracker points?

Thanx again

You can load a sequence, or IFL as your background. What you do is load the sequence as your environment background. Then select, say your front viewport, and choose "viewport background". (I beleive the default hotkey is Alt+b) In this dialogue box you have to option of using your environment background as a background; choose this. Make sure that "display background" is selected in this same dialogue box, and voila! Playback of the background will depend on what video card you're using. Hope this helps! :)

Better to import an avi as an environment and background......I think there is a frame limit on IFL files (1500 frames?). The other thing to watch out for is that if you have applied any lens correction in boujou you need to render out the sequence from boujou with the correction for max to use NOT THE ORIGINAL FOOTAGE! Also watch out for the aspect ratio values....I think that Boujou 2.1 fixes this on export now but the old one didnt.
