This image is principaly made with Max 2009 and Vray (GI and AO)and a litle part of ZBrush and Photoshop...

I can see the potential in this concept but, considering how far away the apple and the branchs are I think that showing the city up closer would benefit the scene. Also the texture in the image are a little flat, adding more detailed texture maps would also benefit this image. Great concept. Keep up the work.

Yes, I also like the concept. And composition is not bad, but the city should be more in focus. Othervise the surreal aspect of the image is not strong enough. I don't know if you have access to Photoshop, or some similar software... Playing with layers, blur and blending modes can realy pump up the mood...
I made little modificaton using only your image, few gradients, levels and blur. I hope you don't mind... I exaggerate on purpose... ;)
