Hello world!

I've got a problem with Maya, paths/curves and a bottle and hope someone can help me.

Let me post a picture of my path imported from Illustrator:

And now i want to wrap it (of course extruded an with caps) around my bottle.
Something like this:

What is the best way to do this? My Problem is, that i need this picture for print (8000+ pixel). So a real smooth bend is required :-(

Sorry, but im complete despair about this ...

Have you tried the Non_linear Bend tool in the Animation - Deform menu ?

Providing you have got enough vertice or control points in the curve should work fine.

Thanks for the reply!

The bend deformer was my first attempt. But this is what happens:

I know the problem. But is there another way or must i rebuild the curve with, i don't know, 10000 points to get a smooth bend?! Hmm ...

It sounds not very elegant, but ok. Or do i missunderstand something?
