I'm new to modeling and I'm sure this can be fixed with a simple change of settings. Or perhaps I'm just doing something wrong. Anyway...
According to a tutorial online on how to model a face, you must create a plane over the mouth and eyes and split the polygon in two. Then, I am to extrude the top polygon inwards to create a smaller polygon within the larger one. Now, when I attempt to transform the polygon by scaling, moving, etc., it messes with all of the vertexs and edges around it.
My question is, is there any way to mess with the inner polygon without moving any other vertexs around it? If I'm not explaining myself clearly enough, here is the video to show you what I'm supposed to be doing. --->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xls25e08sSg
It's one of the first steps. I just cant seem to mess with the inner polygon without moving everything else around it. It's really starting to get on my nerves.
Thanks for any help.
