Hi all. I was hoping to get some feedback and help in completing this painting. I want to finish it before March comes. I have little experience with painting and even less experience painting in photoshop.

What I want to depict in this painting is a moment where The Devil is interrupted by a desperate angel, relishing his overthrow of Heaven, holding God by the throat to her knees.

I'm still very much planning this thing, figuring out the setting and composition. I would have wanted to depict heaven with ancient greek/romanesque architecture but I'm open to other concepts (fantasy, baroque...)

The setting needs to strengthen the perspective and push the idea of being in heaven.

What I like here is leading the eye across from the angel through to The Devil's frame to God's face. What I would like to do is surround those two last figures in shadow and balance it with the sunset and the glowing angel on the left side of the frame.

I will greatly appreciate any help as I'm very new to this.

I should also add that while I like The Devil having his back to the viewer, I'm looking into what he could be doing with his left arm. Right now its just sort of limping there.

I'm slowly finding stronger composition and researching ideas. I've concluded that this particular illustration is a bit more than I can chew and I'll have to pace myself in order to execute it to my liking.

This is where I am with it now. I thought about the concept of the scene and that it would be stronger if the main character (the devil) felt not satisfaction upon completion of his coup and death of his maker, but rather deep sorrow and regret. I think it would be a very strong image if his actions unmade existence (thanks Dogma!) depicted by the world crumbling all around him.
