Hi guys,

I've got this statue model that i need to animate cracking and coming to life....

i was gonna do it in maya and try using blastcode.. however i've got a polygonal model and i've decided to use xsi and use the shatter pulgin from http://www.motionblur.it/

the problem i'm having is that i cant really animate the cracks taking place...
also when i run the simulation sometimes all the fragments just fly off into the air...
(i've used gravity and i've made sure that the bounding boxes of the rigid bodies dont intersect)

please help..... thanks

you should first simulate the un cracked piece, bake it. then make the shattered pieces, parent them to the un cracked piece. key frame their activeness just before the first un cracked piece hits the ground. also key frame the visibility of the object
