Hi there,

I've been trying out the PLE of Vue 7 xStream with C4D R11 and I am getting an odd issue with the terrain in the render.

The Vue terrain takes on an 'oily' look when rendered along with C4D objects. (See pic below).

I'm rendering within C4D (but I am pretty sure Vue renders it's own scene objects) and the problem only seems to occur when GI is switched on in C4D, I just can't figure out what is going on!

If anyone know's how to sort this, I'd appreciate it. I'm a complete beginner with Vue so please bear that in mind!

Regards

What material was used on the terrain, if one of the preset materials of course, if not a preset, maybe explain the parameters you used to create the material. To me, it looks like you have some global turbulence added, and no bump.
And yes, Vue renders its own objects.

Thanks for the reply,

I posted in the C4D forum also and forgot to update this post.

I did in fact figure out the problem and for some reason it was with C4D's Caustics and how it was translating the lighting on Vue objects. Playing around with the Caustics settings fixed the problem.

Thanks again.
