I also posted this in the game section. Though here I am more interested in suggestions on the character design/layout suggestions. (If the mod thinks this is uneeded, I apologize and please delete this thread)

In short he is for Unreal Tournament 2003 as a new character. I have life a 2 page back story for him but basically he is like a futuristic swashbuckler gladiator that is a ladies (albit necrophelia loving women) man.*

Any further suggestion/problem areas? I think the side view foot is slightly small, But I can fix that in the model. That rounded mechanical thing is what goes in his chest. (The front views chest is exploded on the left side to allow to see the layout of the life support).

Te life support unit itself may seem a little drab? In honesty Im not much of a technical drawer. Its sorta got that whole simple Kirbish metal thing going. ;) Any suggestions or gimmicks would be welcome. Though note that it will be hidden inside the rib cage.

*Yes slightly inspired by the Pirates movie, but the original idea was more from wanting to do an anatomically correct skeleton vs the one that ships with the game (and thought of before all the movie previews).

Unless he is held together with necromantic magic, I would replace all his joints and back shoulder blades with high tech gears welded onto the frame of the skeleton, and disproportionate too, make him look more solid. If he is going to short make his bones damn thick. Fill in the calfs in the boots with cables so it doesn't look so empty. BTW I like Kirby, its cluncky style but it says technology Road Warrior style :)

Proportions must have gotten screwed up during transition ( I thought I had him 7 1/2, but he is barely 7 heads). Where is the worst part? Space between the ribcage and the pelvis? Longer neck? "Shrink" the girth of his ribcage? Or should I just shrink his head?

And yes it has to be held together by "magic". The engine uses ligamented models versus one mesh. My original version had the cables running all over (they replaced the muscles somewhat). This is not possible to accomplish with a ligamented model. If you have another idea though to accomplish both - please let me know!

I know what you mean about filling the boots with mesh.. thats why they aren't as filled as normal.. but unless I put an abnormal amount of cabling down there disproportionate to the rest of the bodies cabling.. I can only have one/two cables going into the knee/foot area. I thought of even "collapsing" the boots more, but thought it would confuse the viewer to look at, as the would be so "mushed" as to not look right.

Thanks for the critiques so far.. good help/suggestions.

The good thing is now though I can take him into illustrator and tweak way after tracing the outlines!
