Here is my latest drawing. I just started it last night. using only a Wacom for this drawing. Still need a lot of work though. I wonder what I should put in the background.

I haven't put the colors on yet because I want to do the shading in black & white first.

Here's the lastest update. It's been a day since I started this drawing. So far, i'm very satisfy with it. Still dont know what to put on the Background though..

There's still somethings wrong with the image. I know i still need more time with this one. Some body please help me with the color choosing and what to put on the background..Somehow my way of using brushes and effects doesn't fit with the composition.

ooh, I like it. :applause: can't wait to see it in color though. I would keep the background simple. Your eye is totally drawn to his left finger, so I would try to minimize distractions to that point. (it's more apparent in the drawing than in the reference because it's not blurred.)

Please repost an update!

Here is the latest update. After playing around with the colors, Red/Dark Blue theme is better for this drawing (at least, that's what I think!=) )

WIP is finished. Please view the post #1 for the final piece. I'm ready to move on to another drawing. ;)

Nice colours and mood.
I can give lil tip for your future drawings though.
Try to add a little less bright higlights the further away the object/person gets from the foreground. And also, try to let the colors blend in more with the background color.
That will create some further feeling of depth into your drawings and make them even better than they aleradey are :)

Hi

I'd add that the opacity of the little bubbles (?spells) is distracting. They look like something stuck to his hands and robe. Also, since they are so bright and saturated, and randomly distributed, they drag the eye around the image looking in vain for a focal point (which I assume is his face). For next time I'd make them mostly transparent and not so bright. Oh and one more thing as I look again - since they are so bright they should act as light sources in the image, and his body and robe would be lit by the bubbles like little spotlights - you have afew hints of this but it's not consistent.
