Title: Lock Loader
Name: Greg Morris
Country: United Kingdom
Software: Photoshop

Hi guys!

Well here is my first attempt at a female character that was inspired by the characters from Virtua Cop, APB, Aliens and of course Resident Evil. I had a lot of fun trying to get a gritty hard cop look but also keep the character looking feminine and sexy! I wanted the style to look fairly real but maintain a comic/manga vibe. I started the pic in a sketch book, scanned it in and rendered it in PS CS3.
Anyway I would love to hear some feedback from you as i always value constructive criticism.

Thanks again guys,

Greg

like the color effect on the white background a lot, i think it works well as an entire composition because of it. however, the nose looks really squished in, if you move it to the right (the bottom of it that is) it should add more volume to the face and make it look less planar.
the lips also seem to look a little too dark for the rest of her face, it might just be the lighting needs a little working but i think its a good start.

I really like your colors looks great :) i totally agree with peteywaz he his some valid points there, I think you may also need to bring that right arm/gun a bit farther because u think the perspective looks a bit out and also you can bring her a bit fowred i think that may also help with the overall pose :) keep up the great work.

Thanks

Thanks very much for the insightful feedback guys its great to hear your thoughts i had been wondering about the nose! Having looked at it again i think it could do with tweaking,
think i will experiment with the lips a bit too! But overall i'm pleased with this piece.

Thanks again,

Greg
