View Full Version : WiP - Space Ship - Edge flow knowledge exchange

Hi everyone,

I'm modeling this spaceship and I decided to post some images in order to exchange knowledge and as well as to get some help with modeling. I want to give it a 'Star wars - Clone Wars' kind of look - mainly white panels, slightly weather battered - This ship is about 20 to 25mtrs in diameter
I hope I get to achieve this look

Ok, this is a try on blocking the main volumes.

I tried smoothing it and adding some loops in order to get some nice smooth edges, but I got some undesired pinching ....

I know this is caused by the number of unnecessary edges... but I have no idea as how to fix it... any helpful thoughts?

Managed to eliminate extra edges, which is good, now I got a minor problem there, I think I might try to add more detail from now on and see how it comes...

Good I still got all quads, unfortunately I've got some 5 and 6 edges vertexes (E poles)
