View Full Version : SketchUp Interactivity - Cool racing car
esperientben 02-05-2009, 07:38 AM Another video showing how to transform a SketchUp car model into a basic product configurator. This time we have used drag & drop 'Smart Objects' to add a simple User Interface, a material color changer and pre-defined view buttons. Again, the model is dragged directly from Google Warehouse and the interactivity features are simply dragged and dropped on to the model. Total time to create - less than 10 minutes.

I am sorry that you feel this is advertising as I certainly do not mean to cause offense. I thought that people who use SketchUp would like to know how they can extend their models - my apologies

yeah man. I'm not sure why this forum has so many volunteer "police" I'm interested in hearing about sketchUp as it can be a useful util.

I like information and have no problem with developers that showup what they do, on contrary i welcome, but you should only make one post about your product.

Hmmm - puts me in a difficult position! Some people have asked for me to post more and some have asked me not to. How about this? We have built some more Smart Objects in the last 24 hours - they really are quick to build - and expect to have a couple more videos later today. I will make that the last post and then, if people want to see more, they can just check out our website periodically.
Hope this is ok
All the best

Post it! But I personally think its more appropriate in the general section or something...
I think this forum really needs a real-time 3d app section.

I absolutely agree - a real time 3D section would be a great idea.
Cheers
