It takes too long to load especially for what is in there currently I cna only image how long it will take once all the content is there... you give people the option to skip the intro if it's going to take long to load not after it has loaded.
For your content you have it load dynamically.. people do not want to wait for the interface to load but they will wait for individual pictures..

Well I admit that I am no flash expert but the intro should be a seperate SWF file that can be skipped.. you have a preloader that gives you the option to skip the intro and then if you skip it it loads the GUI instead.
There are tutorials for this and for dynamically loading images. I'll try to look some up for you if somebody else doesn't as these are important things for you to know if you plan to do more with flash.

There are tons of tutorials on www.flashkit.com.
You may want to start here:
www.flashkit.com/tutorials/Actionscripting/
and search for "preloader". There are many tutorials covering this important subject, like these:
www.flashkit.com/tutorials/Actionscripting/Expert/Advanced-Cathode-612/index.php
www.flashkit.com/tutorials/Actionscripting/Advanced-Joscha_F-124/index.php
Also, www.ultrashock.com is an excellent resource, especially for the advanced user.

First of; bevel on pixelfonts is a BIG no, no. For your first flash site it's rather good but you got some issues you need to take care of.
I realize your splash-screen was made for a resolution of 1024x768 pixels, but you need to make everyone happy (800x600-1280x1024). Those resolutions are pretty standard.
Having your site in a pop-up isn't that smart either. Most people just click them away as soon as possible. Instead, use a plain HTML site and position your flash-file using tables, iframes, layer or what ever.
Wait, there's more :)...
When browsing your galleries, you've got this "Back to main menu"-button, but no "Back to Galleries front (or similar)". Stuff one of those in there - it would make the site a whole lot more practical.
And the face in the bg going from normal to beveled isn't that attractive either. I know it's an animation you've put there to emphasize the fact that your moving through to a new section, but a little change wouldn't hurt. Stuff some more animation of the same nature in there (you could have them change at random using AS).
My final and most important tip would be: work on it some more. Once again; it's a good start and a great first attempt!
keep up the good work!
And I agree on the loading-thing. You need to fix that...

I am not waiting any longer to view it. The first little graphic took way to long to load in the first place!!
