I am working soon enough on building models. Many of which include interiors.
What I have an issue is with though is making the interior.

I used to just build it out of blocks for each wall and such, but have found its slow as I then have to delete polys that wont be seen, and line up the edges correctly. I do very much like how sketchup works, I have found I can make pretty decent buildings with it fast. Though to export to 3ds means buying pro, and I'd hardly ever use sketchup.
I tried grid snaps in 3dsmax, though does not seem to snap so well sometimes. Maybe I have it set up wrong, but any way to get it work very much like sketchup.

I also need to work in windows too. How would I go about cutting these into walls, though using the snapping method Could build it out of blocks I guess.

Any other useful way to construct buildings in 3dsmax? Interiors with exterior walls mainly.

Has some very helpful material. Then hit the poly modelling / box modelling tuts out there.

Make a plane, 1x1. Convert to poly. Border select. Outside border. Shift-move it up. Now you have walls. Hit Cap for clg.

Use edge select and connect to add edges where you need. Delete a face to make a window then select the border of the window and shift-move to give the appearance of some wall thickness.

This is one approach.

Wow, those videos are great, thank you for that link!

I'll be following this thread because I'm interested in modeling buildings as well
