Hey all, I thought I would join this challenge this time, I know I'm very late, but it doesn't matter, I might not finnish until the deadline, but it doesn't matter since this challenge is for learning stuff.

The last couple of days I've been modeled 2 guys and rigged them. I have a picture of one of the characters down below, it's the good guy in the animation, bad guy is probably coming up later tonight.

Okay the simple story (don't expect Jrr tolkien quality ;) ) :

---------------------

Two twins, separated in the war on earth, one of them was forced to the evil side. He soon became the evil emperors right side, and after the emperor died he became the emeror of all evil.

He was not happy being "just" an emperor, he wanted true power. And true power was given to those who collected all 7 Orbs of Gahea.
He has already collected 4 of them and is starting to getting more powerful.

Our good fellah in this story have been hunting after his brother for years, but never got a chance to get close to him.
But finaly when his brother is about to collect the 5th orb inside a cave he got his chance...

-----------------------------------

So the stage this is set in is in a cave.
What we will see is two fantasy/medival characters fighting.

Here is a image of the good guy in pose.
As stated above, the evil brother will be posted later tonight.

And tomorrow I hopefully have a few animation tests.

Hello,
He has a nice cartoon feel to him, are you going to aim for a more cartoonish animation style or a more realistic one?

Looking forward to those animation tests tomorrow. Now do get some sleep before the hardcore animation begins.

Hi Mikael P.

Yeah, I'm going for more cartoony look on the animation. I think it fits my characters best.
We'll see what I can accomplish ;)

Okay here comes a picture of the bad guy:

I just completed the test animation of the good guy character... it just involves some sword swinging, not too fancy.

Been awhile since I animated something, so I had to get a feel for it again (didn't do much before either tho)

I hope u like it
Any CC would be really nice, I'd love to know what I can make better in the future, for the real animation!

Here's the link

(I don't know how fast the server is, hopefully not too slow, and it's only 700 kb file)

Thanks!

See you!

hey Veqtue, lookin very good so far, think you could perhaps speed up the action a bit more and i dont quite like the way the other hand opens and closes very slowlly, i would keep it spread open, palm down or fist closed.

cheers

Hi Gru, thank you for you suggestions and comments. You are right about the hand opening and closing, but there are many other things which could be fixed, like more weight in the sword and more powerful movement in the shoulder etc etc...
Not going to fix that on that test tho, I'm going to work on the real thing now.

Well, since I didn't want to animate anything more today, I finnished the set they will fight.
I have an image with a little dramatic posing etc, just for fun :surprised
