There's a bug in v7 with the paint tool that doesn't allow realtime feedback when painting. You have to constantly press the "Attach Bones" button to update what you've painted. The result of this bug makes it appear like your not painting when in reality you are. Its my understanding this issue has been corrected in v8.

MAJOR bug... disappointing it isnt being addressed for v7 owners... and to note, there is no mention of bugs in WMP painting being addressed.

I hoped to have more input for the beta of CA tools but I wasn't able to do more. By the time we actually got to beta, I was wore out. The info, videos, discussions leading up to "any" EI CA feature was arduous. Not to mention, my eventful personal life, projects, and goals. I'm 46 now, there's only so much one man can do. Hopefully, some other CA Users picked up the slack.

The weight map smoothing fixed. It was VERY EVIDENT with even a small test. The fall off felt like Maya.

Quite honestly, I've been so burnt out this year, I haven't been doing any rigging since July. Not even in Maya.

I cant wait to try out the demo so i can see if is fix or not as i know evryone uses FBX or OBJ2 fact to bring models from <Maya not too much people skin and rig in EI anymore.

Thanks for your efforts Alonzo, and for letting us know the results from EI. Sometimes just a little whisper of progress brings great hope.
