View Full Version : UV'ing a Beveled Polygon
FluidEdge 01-31-2009, 01:54 PM Hi
Can anyone give me advice on UVing scenes where everything has a beveled edge? It's incredibly fiddly to unwrap and i get lots of triangles (Chamfered vertices) that i'm not sure whether to sew up or not?
Are there any tips for this?

hi
I had same problem,
1 for next time If you yourself are modeler too, first unfold UV and after that chamfer or bevel edges and after that just need to relax UV a little to correct the UV map,(I use this method in 3Dsmax).
2 if some one else modeled or your model is final, just patient is your answer and 2 methods
>1 pick major polygon and use stitch selected (in 3Dsmax) and continue,
>2 if your texture has soft shades and dosen't give away, just put all triangles and narrow rectangles in a color area near to color of main texture part this solve problem,
