does anybody have a nice solution for doing large wings?
The main problem is how to get the right movement for the skin inbetween the joints and how to controll the flopping of it.
1. using a dynamic Jiggle or Cloth Simulation
2. trying to setup Bones for the Skin that will be controlled by Driven Keys.
3. using Influences, like stripes that hang between the joints to bend the skin in and outwards

Thank you guys,
This is mostly about feathered wings, but what I need is skin wings like a bat or a Dragon.
There is something about wire deformers, that seems to be pretty useful, thanks a lot...
If you hava any other ideas of how to controll something like this, I am very thankful.

Not sure which app you're using, but this tutorial may help you out. I believe it's for Max, but I'm sure you can find a way to apply the principles to another app.

Well, I made wings in max for game engine just using skin and FK rig with bones. It was cubersome to animate, but effect was satisfactory. But now I'd make such rig in Motionbuilder using IK and 3D damping relation constraint. I made some rigs with it for tails and worked perfectly well.
