Concept to completion. Modeling, texturing, UVmapping, rigging or animation. I'm proficient in Maya 4.0, 4.5 and Adobe Photoshop as well as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere and Deep Paint. However traditional art is always my passion. My traditional skills include experience in Life Drawing, Illustration, Sequential Art, and Concept Development.

My website will tell you more about my intentions. http://www.azimuthartz.com/cory/

Below are sample shots included of my first attempt at a true low poly character.

It took roughly two weeks from concept to completion. Its fully modeled, rigged, UV unwrapped and textured using Maya, Adobe Photoshop and Deep Paint, and unfortunately a mouse. Don’t have that Wacom just yet. Its poly count is 2472 triangles. Head texture is 512 and body texture is 1024. I took real screen shots of the character to show you since a lit or GI’d scene would not be true to what it would actually look like in real time game play. So any shadows seen have been painted on. To create the textures I both started from scratch and used photo refs to achieve differentiation in the surface. Binding deformation is very good, if anybody wants to see test animation is up.

I recently graduated Savannah College of Art and Design and I am interested in working in the videogame industry. I still live in Savannah, GA but I come from Texas and I'm looking for work primarily in Texas, but I’m still ready and waiting to travel anywhere. I’m also learning 3D Max and I’m always willing to learn new things and work with others. If you’re interested then by all means contact me. Thank you.

I finished the weapon at 308 polys and a 512 texture. I call it Chronoblade. Seemed appropriate. I have the an animation of my character doing Shaolin Gong Fu, Tai Chi stuff. Its to show the overall character success. Hope you like it an let me know what cha think.

Here's the animation. http://www.azimuthartz.com/cory/aal_tai_chi.avi
