I did this image for this month's contest at Gnomon Workshop, with the theme: "Battle Worn".
I wanted to represent a kind of futuristic chaotic chess game that had been going on for years.
Lots of texturing in maya, and lots of filters in photoshop.

Hope you like it, any C&C are very welcome.

Interesting concept...the textures are well done. The feeling the image gives is very interesting. If the few more pieces of the chess board were to be seen..say a fallen KING or QUEEN...it would be more dramatic...

Anyway...good job...beautifully executed ...
