View Full Version : Smoke clinging to object?

How can i make particles with pyrocluster effect cling to an object not drifting away too far from it?

The setup i have below are just a basic emitter with turbulence. What i need is the pyrocluster to surround the model. A thought i have is to create an invisible, and a bit larger, copy of the model act as a container for the particles.

How should i keep the particles within this container? Or does anyone have any other simpler idea?

that would work or the object could be radiating the particles outward.

but what would also work would be a copy of the object with some kind of volumetric noise in it so it gives the appearence of smoke.

A few thoughts hope you don't mind.

Hi,

why don't you emit from the object?

Are u using standard particles or Thinking Particles?

Have you tried TDEM? www.remotion.de.vu

Yes TDEM looks promising to achieve this. I just need to tweak it until it looks right. Thanks.
