cool concept, but it wont fly with the UPN'ers. maybe to far of a stretch for a early CG show, maybe they should do something more "freindly" for everyone. if it was on Cartoon Network or Comedy Central, maybe. hope they have good team of writers.

good writters doesnt matter to most people. take the simpsons for example its a pretty funny show(its gotten worse in the last season) but when someone whos never heard of the show switches to it their like oww another kids show. people tend to base their jugement on what the show looks like. I also agree with you that Comedy Central would be a good place for this type of show since they most of the audience of that chanel knows that apearence arent what they seem (eg: Crank yankers)

Most actually believe that tha Simpsons longevity is because of the strength of the writing.. but I'm sure you know better. :)

yes I agree im not saying I dont care about writting im saying that the average joe when he sees a cartoon or cg show thinks its for kids (unless its hentai but thats another story) I personaly am a fan of the simpsons and of Family guy. I will definitly be looking at this TV show but I dont think it will run as long as the simpsons because one of the working points of the simpsons is the drawing style very simple ( people wore blue jeans and a white shirt in 1989, still do know in 2003 and probably still will in 2010 but when you start getting a TV show thats up to date with cloths from today, music from today, and styles from today it spells disaster in the future.

Hmmm, someone who switches, knowing it has been on a decade plus, and doesn't know this is NOT a kids show? Then why would the audience benefit from their inclusion?
And it is the strength of writting that carries any show. Visual as the medium is, if there is no story, no one watches. For a few decades of proof I point to any daytime, long in the tooth, soap opera. And you can't tell me they look good.
There are plenty of Kid Show soaps too. I don't suppose people realize that until they watch. Just assuming that everyone who sees a cartoon image is immediate put off is, well, sad.

well I was just giving an example let me give a better one Family guy. also some shows are watched even if the story sucks. eg power rangers: the story for the 5 years or so that theive been on the air(all classes confused ZEO beast power rangers auuto power rangers and so forth)has alwais been the same story.
evil monster comes the team gets shot at a little they all fall down, their helped up by their friends, they beat the monster, the monster becomes big(ohh no whatever will we do) they get the megazord, beat the monster, and end up in a cafee laughing because the world is great :annoyed: what a stupid show.

forgive them dude Fox isnt the reason for the cancelation of Family Guy peoples stupidness is. they didnt watch it because they thought it was a kids show :annoyed: . But there is still hope. My step-Mother is a writer for that show and they are still working on some stuff (realy funny I promise) while they search for a new place to air. Fox also are the people that made the simpsons what it is today. And a company that airs so many shows that make fun of it is cool to me. to the simpsons.

Might of course be wrong about this but some would say that Matt Groening made the Simpsons what it is today along with the writers and crew.. not Fox who aired it for the simple reason that it made them a shed load of moolah which is also why they can't complain if it pokes fun at them. Shame they killed Futurama off. :)

well if Fox wasnt there Simpsons would have been a short in the Olmand show until people got tired of that silly cartoon. Fox by giving them a home has made them what they are today. Matt did do allot at the beggining but now its mostly writers (wich are paid for by the nice people at Fox. Matt does not draw or wright the show anymore. and to be fair he gained so much money its not even funny. Fox has been there for the simpsons. also most of those jokes on fox are writin by Fox.
Last but not least Futurama was an OK TV show not that great. The reason it got a spot on primetime right away was because it was another Matt Groening creation. but when people started seing the show wich is not as smart as the simpsons that was that. Simpsons still rule and will for a long time to come. :buttrock:
