So here is my attempt to paint an ugly thing. I'm quite proud of it since I always paint cute fairies, and would love some help and critiques. I realize it's missing a leg, I just can't seem to make it right. Anyway, let me know what you guys think about it and thank you in advance!

oh my gosh!
i looove the expression.

It reminds me of those sphinx-cat-things from MirrorMask :)
The only thing I would suggest is that the red colours from the creature blend in too well with the background. Maybe change the background colour? Actually, i like the BG, but perhaps a little more subtle colour/highlights on the creature would help pop it out and separate it more.

Try to fit that leg in there! It'll make it look more complete :D
