View Full Version : Tutorial Update: 3D Hair
tonygib 06-27-2003, 11:52 AM Hi all,
Just in case people missed it in the sub-forum, I have posted a tutorial on creating 3D hair, based on the method I used for my Marie character.
Well, on top of the orginial post, I have now added the second part on Texturing to my web site. You can get to it from the same place, under the Tutorial section.

Enjoy.

Well, I have had a large number of hits since posting this Tutorial, almost 50,000 now. Yet so far I haven't had any comments/feedback from anyone here at cgtalk, and I know you have been looking, I got the logs that prove that.

Only 122 views of your thread... guess you're getting traffic from elsewhere cuz 50000-122 is still about 50k

Hi Aaron, well yeah I have posted it else where too, both at 3dbuzz and the discreet max forum. But your maths was still a bit out tho. I've had 122 views on this one, plus almost 250 views on the initial thread in the sub-forum.
Also, forum views and "hits" are far from the same thing. A hit is a single request for a file from a web server, ie. every graphic image, every html file, etc all count as an indivual hit. So in a way, hits are a bit meaningless, they just add up fast and sound good for marketing. I guess a better number would be the 1000 visits my site has had for the month.
I could go on and on about web stats, etc, since I have been a webmaster, but I won't, it will just bore you :)
PS. And yet you still didn't say anything about the tutorial :hmm:
