asela,...hey. like the character and the pose you got going:thumbsup:

as far as posting options: when at the posting page

1. attach a less than 20k image here using the little box down below "ATTACH FILE"....to get your file small enough - either a)shrink the dimension of your picture - b)save as jpeg and lower the compression to under 20k c) save as giff and lower/adjust colors # to under 20k

2. get your own web space...upload images to there and then in your message use the IMG button above the box you type in.....images on your own space can be any size i presume but use common sense...don't post huge suckers ...

3. on the challenge site..if you have a thread there for this challenge, they provide a place to place an image which is larger than allowed here...then use the same IMG button as mentioned above

Hi @Asela,
i like the face expression youv made, im just wondering why you start with a smile cuz iwhen i model i try to make a face neutral, prepared for thr future morph targes, well my way dosnt hawe to be the best :) The model is developing nice, i would resized the width of the thighs, but its to erly for such a comments, now ill wait for the baext update. Nice work:thumbsup:

I'll agree with the method of modeling a smile first. With a stretched face you can place all the edges you need to make it look good and then deform it back to a neutral position. I always start with the smile as well! It gives the character all his charm!

Great job so far!!!
Go gO GO !!!

asela
06-30-2003, 06:28 AM
by the way

i posed the smile first not for the right reasons
i just dont have enough time for a full setup for this character
because i have started late.

i will put a skeleton to make the right pose but i am going to treat this model after its in the pose like akulpture.

anyways tell me what you think.

this is good time for crits..

thanks guys.

Overall it's looking good, nice work. But I would suggest to size down the legs a little, they at least to me overpower the rest of the body. It's looking good,I think you should work overtime and get that rig done,it will pay divedends in the end.Nice job so far.

That's an awesome looking helmet you've got there. It simply oozes style.

One major crit from me, though, is that his ass is TINY! :p I think that's what's making his legs look so huge (I kinda like the legs, btw).

asela
07-07-2003, 09:47 PM
ok i am back

i envy all of the people with free time

LoTekk thanks for the tip

I like everything, except for the backpack in the front...

I don't like it; it should be at the back IMHO.

Sorry

Alright, good luck, and show us something pretty ;)

I think the front pouch should be inverted. Anything that sags at the bottom gives an impression of sluggishness. not something you want if your character is called runner! I suggest inverting it maybe and sticking it on the back like hellwolve said.

Other than that, it looks awesome. The helmet is great and the physique is chunky.

Keep going... only 3 days left!!

This looks great asela! In that pose, the front puch looks prett good. I love the expression on the face and you have really captured a sense of speed.

Only comments would be try making the legs look like he is running maybe??? Right now, it sort of looks like a squat.

Another thing is the metal plates around the face. I can't tell what they are supposed to be doing or how they are attatched. I know it's a bit late to be making criticisms, but maybe you might want to get rid of them or do more work on them???

Good luck!! theres only hours left!!!:surprised
