View Full Version : Cloth Rigging Max Specific

I currently have a character that is rigged and weighted. I need to make the character jeans act like jeans would. What is the best route to take for this?
I watched some stuff on the Autodesk site but that was all I could find.
Should I duplicate the pants and turn those into cloth?
I appreciate any help, advice, or direction.
You can do diffrent stuffs..but the best way i'm using allways is Cloth Modifier,
you need to make a Proxy mesh for your jean, and apply the cloth to it, then use it as the deriver of the jean mesh..so it can apply behaviors to the jean mesh..then after setting up cloth features and limmiting where it needs to be limmited, you can add some colision object where it's nessesery, then just play with cloth features to achive a good look jean.
Btw, you can use Reactor cloth too.
