i´m habing a few problems creating a realistic ocean from top view. I need one for one shot on my movie.

Basicly its an actor against a blue screen. Then i want to replace the blue screen with an top view of the ocean(the actor is hanging on a pipe and the camera is above him(top view of fim and the ocean, just like one scene from LostWorld when theyre hanging in the caravan with the ocean below them ) My problem is in getting that realistic feel of ocean on the oceans i make in cg. I also tried to find some footages of oceans in top view but without sucess. Can anybody help me out? i would really apreciate.

(i dont want cliffs, just ocean)

thanx

Good reference is always needed to create a good CG effect. Try searching here for "ocean surface" and you'll find some good size preview movies. 480x360 I think.

Careful use of procedurals can get you there. Or for a quicker perhaps better result you could try one of the 3rd party tools like Dreamscape2.
