Title: Anime Chick
Name: Rosanna Ferrarez
Country: Philippines
Software: Photoshop
I saw a show on the Lifestyle network where a hairdresser dyed the bangs of his model (an asian girl) bright yellow. I guess I couldn't get the image out of my head. Anyway, "Anime Chick" is a take on cosplay culture, you know, people dressing up as anime characters. The yellow bangs just seemed appropriate. This is one of my "experimental" stuff (digital art is pretty much a new thing for me). I'm still working with preset grass brushes to emulate hair texture with this one. It would be nice to have some feedback on this--critiques or suggestions about techniques. I work exclusively on photoshop CS2 version and use a mouse (pen tablet is still marked down as future investment)
I've only recently seen Linda Bergkvist's tutorial on painting hair in photoshop--wow, will definitely be using that for future work!
