View Full Version : Help on compositing 3d-into real footage! (C4D and combustion + synth eyes)

Im working on making some cheasy movie and need help compositing.
what ive got
cinema 4d r11
synth eyes
combustion
after effects (i can get if needed instead of combustion)

Hello BlackRaven548.
I don't know how was your workflow.
As you can see in your video, the sun is coming from the left (if you look the video, on the right if you are the man riding the horse).
So you should add a light to "fake the sun" and put the GI on on your 3d app. You also need to add a plane under your box in order to receive shadows from the box. You will have to apply a special material to this (matte/shadows in 3dsmax, if I remember well).
Then you export your matchmoved footage in tga or png or whatever (but it need to keep alpha).
Then you composite it to your footage.. correct the white balance.. and that should be ok.
